Create a Backstory for your Nomi
The application of this tool is primarily aimed at users who need new roleplay Nomis, but are not quite sure where to start in terms of creating a new personality core. By using this tool, especially the randomize function, you can quickly prototype a new sidekick, NPC, main villain, or companion. The output of this tool is a bit clinical and rigid - I hope that you'll take this output and make it unique and suited to the character you envision.
Instructions:
- Select tags from each category. You may skip categories, or select multiple tags (can cause conflicts)
- Lock categories you are satisfied with, and try the Randomize button
- Enter your Nomi's name
- Click 'Copy to Clipboard', and paste the text into your Nomi's Backstory (in Shared Notes). Remember to press the Save button
- Use the output of this tool with the 'backstory expander' magic wand, which you can access by clicking the icon on the bottom right of the text input field of your Nomi's backstory on the Shared Notes page
Note:
This tool uses some Primary Personality Traits that are derived from the works of Patrick Gunkel, which you can read more about on this archived MIT site.
"Nominame" or the name you enter is used in place of She, Her, He, His, They, Them, or other pronouns. While this may increase the character count, it removes the burden from the developer and the users to designate pronouns and guard against edge cases. Thank you for understanding.
